Parking Assist
The vehicle may have rear parking
assist.
Rear parking assist makes parking
easier by measuring the distance
between the vehicle and rear
obstacles. It informs and warns the
driver by giving acoustic signals and
display indication.
The system has three ultrasonic
parking sensors in the rear bumper.
{
Warning
The driver is always responsible
for taking care and attention while
manoeuvring the vehicle. Parking
assist is only an aid and is neither
intended nor able to take over
any responsibility.
The park sensors may not be
able to detect all objects under
every condition e.g. objects too
close to the vehicle, objects
above or below the sensors,
or objects with a surface that
absorbs ultrasonic waves.
Additionally, some ambient
conditions like ultrasonic waves
or heavy rain can cause
disruptive reflections from an
object's surface. Such objects
may not be detected.
Always manoeuvre the vehicle
slowly to allow yourself sufficient
time to react. The warning tones
may not sound if the vehicle’s
speed is above 10 km/h.
Activation
When reverse gear is engaged, the
system is activated automatically.
An obstacle is indicated by an
audible tone.
The interval between the tones
becomes shorter as the vehicle gets
closer to the obstacle. When the
distance is less than 40 cm, the
tone sounds continuously.
Deactivation
The system automatically switches
off when reverse gear is
disengaged.
The parking assist can be turned off
in Vehicle Settings. Vehicle
Personalisation 0 69.
Fault
In the event of a fault in the system,
X illuminates.
Additionally, if the system does not
work due to temporary conditions
like snow covered sensors,
X
illuminates.
