a10or16-bitcount-upcounterwhichisdrivenbyauserselectableinternalorexternalclocksource.
Therearealsotwointernalcomparatorswiththenames,ComparatorAandComparatorP.These
comparatorswillcomparethevalueinthecounterwithCCRPandCCRAregisters.TheCCRP
comparatoris3or8-bitswidewhosevalueiscomparedthewithhighest3or8bitsinthecounter
whiletheCCRAisthetenorsixteenbitsandthereforecomparesallcounterbits.
Theonlywayofchangingthevalueofthe10or16-bitcounterusingtheapplicationprogram,is
toclearthecounterbychangingtheTnONbitfromlowtohigh.Thecounterwillalsobecleared
automaticallybyacounteroveroworacomparematchwithoneofitsassociatedcomparators.
Whentheseconditionsoccur,aTMinterruptsignalwillalsousuallybegenerated.TheStandard
TypeTMcanoperateinanumberofdifferentoperationalmodes,canbedrivenbydifferentclock
sourcesincludinganinputpinandcanalsocontrolanoutputpin.Alloperatingsetupconditionsare
selectedusingrelevantinternalregisters.
