STARTING THE ENGINE
The propeller must be lowered into the water, running the outboard
motor out of the water will damage the water pump and overheat the
engine.

If your outboard motor is the
remote control type, turn the
engine switch to the ON position.
Engage the emergency stop switch clip (located at one end of the
emergency stop switch lanyard) with the engine/emergency stop switch.
Attach the other end of the emergency stop switch lanyard securely to the
operator.
