Engine Oil ~ Changing Engine Oil & Filter
7. Install the new oil filter with the OUT-
SIDE mark facing out.
8. Install the oil filter spring into the oi l filter
cover, and then install the new gasket
and
oil filter cover by tightening the oil
filter cover bolts.
I Torque: 9 lbfft (12 N·m, 1.2 kgf·m) .
9. Install a new sea ling washer onto the
drain
bolt. Tighten the drain bolt.
I Torque: 18 lbf.ft (24 N·m, 2.4 kgf.m).
10. Fill the crankcase with the recommended
oil (~ P 42) and install the oil fill cap.
Required oil
When changing oil & engine oil
filter:
1.6 US qt (1.5 liters)
When changing oil only:
1.5 US qt (1.4 liters)
11. Check the oil le vel .~ P. 57
12. Check that there are no oil leaks.
