Installation
1.
Attach the side collars
to
the whee
l.
2. Position the wheel between the fork
leg
s
and insert the front
axle
shaft from the
left
side,
through the wheel hub and
right fork
leg.
3. Tighten the front
axle
nut.
I Torque: 44 lbf·ft (59
m,
6.0 kgf·
m).
4.
In
stal
l the brake caliper and tighten the
mounting bolts.
I Torque:
22
lbf·
ft
(30 N·m,
3.1
kgf·m). I

re
to
prevent the brake
ca
liper
from scratching the
wheel during
in
stallation.

Use
new mounting bolts when
in
sta
lling the brake caliper.
Tire Puncture

Removing Wheels

When
installing
the
brake
caliper
into
position
on
the
fork
leg,
carefully
fit
the
brake
di
sc
between
the
pads
to
avoid
scratching
them.
5. Lower the
front
wheel on the ground.
6. Apply the brake lever and pump the fork
several
times.
7. Tighten the
axle
pinch bolt.
I Torque:
16
lbf·ft
(22
N·m, 2.2 kgf·
m).
8.
Raise
the
front
wheel
off
the ground
again, and check that the
wheel rotates
freely after you
release
the brake.
If a torque wrench was not
used
for
installation,
see
your dealer
as
soon
as
possible
to
verify proper assembly.
Improper
assemb
ly may
lead
to
l
oss
of
braking capacity.
