If your Honeywell Barcode Reader powers up but does not beep, enable the beeper and select a tone. The beeper may be disabled, or no tone may be selected.
What to do if Honeywell MS3780 Fusion powers up but doesn't beep?
If your Honeywell Barcode Reader powers up but does not beep, enable the beeper and select a tone. The beeper may be disabled, or no tone may be selected.
Why does Honeywell MS3780 Fusion beep for some codes but not others?
If your Honeywell Barcode Reader scans at some bar codes and NOT for others of the same bar code symbology, check if it is a check digit, character or border problem. Also, check if check digits are set properly and if the correct minimum symbol length is set. The bar code may have been printed incorrectly, the scanner may not be configured correctly for the type of bar code, or the minimum symbol length setting may not work with the bar code.
How to resolve Honeywell Barcode Reader not transmitting each character?
If your Honeywell Barcode Reader is not transmitting each character, increase the interscan code delay setting and adjust whether the F0 break is transmitted. It may be necessary to try both settings. The unit may not be configured correctly.
Why is my Honeywell MS3780 Fusion dropping characters?
If characters are being dropped by your Honeywell Barcode Reader, add some intercharacter delay to the transmitted output by using the MetroSelect Configuration Guide (MLPN 00-02407). The intercharacter delay may need to be added to the transmitted output.
