3.8.4 Installing 2-Wire Smoke Detectors
Any compatible UL listed two-wire smoke detector can be used with the 5895XL panel. Refer to the Device Compatibility Document for a
list of compatible devices. Figure 3.14 and Figure 3.15 illustrate how to connect a UL listed 2-wire detector to the 5895XL panel.
Class B Installation
To install a Class B two-wire smoke detector, wire as shown in Figure 3.14.
Class A Smoke Detector Installation
To install a Class A two-wire smoke detector, wire as shown in Figure 3.15.
