Rear chassis fan
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 21).
2. Remove the access panel (
Access panel on page 22).
3. From the rear of the chassis, remove the three silver Phillips screws that secure the fan to the rear of
chassis.
4. From the inside of the chassis, if the fan cable is secured to the hood sensor cable with a plastic tie (1),
cut the tie to separate the cables.
5. Disconnect the fan control cable from the red system board connector labeled SYS_FAN(2).
