3 ~ 44. The 5315A/B co u nter display consists of nine 7-segment LED's, pro v idi ng eig ht digit s of
resol ution and a one ~di git expo nent. All measuremen ts are di splayed in engineer ing notation
(Le., exponents of blank 0, ±3, ±6, or ±9) wi th automatic de cimal po int locati on . An nun ciators
fo r indicatin g the measurement u nit s Hz, for Hertz , and s, fo r seconds are provided. The
OVFL ann unciator indicat es that th e le ft ~m ost significant digi ts have over fl owed the displa y. The
GATE an
nunciator indicates the cou nt er ha s been tr iggered and a measurement is in progress.
The
ERROR an nun ciator i ndi cates a fa ilur e during po we r-up se l f-check (see paragraph 3~52 ) .
