LEVEL/SENS. Whe n in TR IGGER LE VEL, controls the vol ta ge at which corresponding input
will trigger, variable over ±2.0 volt X AnN setting. When in SENSITIVITY, va ri es the
sensitivity from MAX (" '0 mV ) up to 500 mV.
TRIGGER LEVEL/SENSITIVITY. Sets the function of corres pond ing LEVEL / SENS control to
either Trigger Le vel or Sens iti vity mode. In TRIGGER LEVEl mode, sensitivity is preset to
maximum. In SENSITIVITY mode, trigger level is preset to 0 volts.
TR I GGER LIGHT. 3-state trigger lights; blinks when channel is triggering; OFF when input
signal is below trigger level setting; ON when in put signal is above trigger level selling.
GATE. Gate light, ind icates the counter 's main gate is open ( when ON ) and a measure-
ment is in progress .
Hz . Hz (H ertz ) annunciator, indicates di sp la yed data is in frequenc y domain, in un i ts of
hertz.
S. s (seconds) annunciator , indicates disp layed data is in time domain , in units of seconds.
EXPONENT. Displays the value of the exponent of the measurement. Measurements are
displayed in
engineering notation , with exponents of blank (0), ±3, ±6, ± 9.
EXPONENT SIGN. I nd ica tes the polarit y of the displayed exponent ; ON (N) if negative,
OFF if positive .
DI SPLAY . Eight-digit amber LED display.
OVFL OVFL ( Overflow ) annunciator, indicates that one of more of the most s ign ificant
digits are not displayed .
ERROR. lights and remains l it when an error is detected during power-up.
DISCHG. Indicates in strument under battery operat ion ; flashes when charge level is
critically low and counte r is disabled,
CHG. Indicates the operating status of the charging circuits on Option 002.
