8-87. Test Procedure 5, Front Pimel Sw it ches
6·68. To ve ri fy pr oper operation of the 5315A/ B front panel switches, perform the following:
a. Remove power from 53 15A/ B by disconnecting line cord.
b. Remove
top cover from 5315A / B; verify proper switching and continuity of Sl and 52 per
schematic diagram,
figure 8· 7, and the followi n g. ( No te that switches do not have
numbers engraved on
them; for pin ·outs see follow ing illustration.

a. AC OPERATION: Apply a 1 MHz signal at 25 mV rms (- 70 mV p.p ) or house standard. to
5315A/ B IN PUT A wit h a 50-ohm feedthrough. 5et 5315A/ B for FREQ A mode. GATE
TIME pot at midrange, ATTN Xl posi tion, FILTER in NORM. and minimum sensitivity.

sensitivity. Counter should count 1 M Hz ±1 count. Ve rif y voltages of + 5V , - 5.2V , + 3V per
