Media card reader/audio board 493978-001
Before removing the media card reader/audio board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Battery (see
Battery on page 41).
b. Keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 55)
c. Switch cover (see
Switch cover on page 59)
d. Display assembly (see
Display assembly on page 70)
e. Top cover (see
Top cover on page 78)
Remove the media card reader/audio board:
1. Remove the three PM2.5×4.0 screws that secure the board to the system board (1).
2. Lift the back of the board up, and then lift it from the system board (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the media card reader/audio board.
