5. Turn on the computer.
6. Reset the date and time, your passwords, and any special system setups using Computer Setup.
Replacing drives
Replacing a hard drive
The 2.5 inch primary hard drive is installed on the right side of the computer on top of the optical disc drive
(ODD). To locate the hard drive on the system board, see Locating internal components on page 26.
Removing a hard drive
1. Remove the access panel.
For instructions, see Removing the computer access panel on page 24.
2. Pull the hard drive latch away from the hard drive to release the drive (1).
3. Slide the hard drive toward the edge of the computer and lift the hard drive out of the drive cage (2).
