Modem and Network Connections
To connect to a LAN:
1. Check that the existing LAN supports Ethernet
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX connections.
2. Plug the purchased network cable into the notebook
RJ-45 jack 1.
3. Plug the other end into the LAN network jack 2.
4. Windows automatically detects and sets up a LAN
connection. To edit settings, open Network Connections in
Control Panel.
Two lights on the RJ-45 jack indicate the connection status 3:
The yellow light indicates network activity.
The green light indicates that a link is present.
