The fan is located in the middle of the computer. It is secured with three screws.

To remove the fan:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see
Preparing to Disassemble the Computer
on page 33).
2. Remove the rear cover (see
Rear Cover on page 34).
3. Remove the system board cover (see
System Board Cover on page 49).
4. Remove the three screws (1) that secure the fan to the computer.
5. Disconnect the fan cable (2) from the system board connector.
