Fan
To remove the fan, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the fan, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 34).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 35).
Remove the fan:
1. Disconnect the fan cable (1) from the system board.
2. Loosen the three captive Phillips screws (2) that secure the fan to the computer.
3. Remove the fan (3) from the computer.
To install the fan, reverse this procedure.
Heat sink
To remove the heat sink, use these procedures and illustrations.
