3. Remove the fingerprint reader (3) from the computer.
To install the fingerprint reader, reverse this procedure.
Fingerprint reader cable
To remove the fingerprint reader cable, use this procedure and illustration.
NOTE: The fingerprint reader cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number M03431-001.
Before removing the fingerprint reader cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 34).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 35).
4. Remove the fan (see Fan on page 48).
5. Remove the system board (see System board on page 52).
6. Remove the fingerprint reader bracket (see Fingerprint reader (select products only) on page 55).
