Speaker assembly 768210-001
NOTE: You must remove the left speaker to remove to function board cable.
Before removing the speaker assembly, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Battery (see Battery on page 30).
b. Service door (see Service door on page 31).
c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 40)
d. Hard drive (Hard drive on page 32)
e. Top cover (see Top cover on page 48)
f. System board (see System board on page 60)
Remove the speaker assembly:
1. Position the top cover upside-down.
2. Remove the 2 Phillips PM2.0×3.0 broadhead screws (1) that secure the speakers to the computer.
