Lift the assembly to unseat the PCI riser boards, and then remove the cage.
Install the PCI riser cage
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and
remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the PCI riser cage.
1. Power down the server (on page 20).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Extend the server from the rack (on page 20).
4. Remove the access panel (on page 23).
5. Align the PCI riser boards with the corresponding connectors on the system board, and then install the
cage.
6. Push down on the thumbscrew and rotate 180 degrees.
