Capacity upgrade process overview
Procedure
1. Plan the capacity upgrade process.
2. Enable maintenance mode when using StoreOnce Remote Support.
3. If necessary, reposition the StoreOnce System in the rack to accommodate the new upgrade storage
enclosure. Power off the system before removing components from the rack.
4. Install upgrade storage enclosures.
a. Install the enclosure.
b. Label and cable the enclosure.
5. Install capacity upgrade disk packs.
6. Complete the capacity upgrade process.
a. Redeem and add the licenses.
b. Scan and configure storage.
c. Check the hardware and firmware.
d. Disable maintenance mode.
Planning for the capacity upgrade
The StoreOnce System remains available and the existing storage remains accessible during the
capacity upgrade process. However, HPE recommends the following:
