9.4 Using Music
Music plays digital audio files from the devices storage card. Music supports the
following music file formats: MP3, M4A (iTunes application AAC, DRM-free), AMR,
WMA (8), MIDI, WAV, OGG Vorbis.
Since Music only plays audio files saved on the storage card, you must copy your
audio files to the storage card before you open Music.
To copy music into the storage card
Connect the device to the computer using the USB cable.
When the USB connected icon ( ) appears in the status bar, touch and hold
the status bar, then slide your finger downward to open the notifications
panel.
Touch USB connected, then touch Mount.
On your computer, navigate to the USB flash drive, then open it.
Create a top-level folder on the storage card named “Music” or some other
descriptive name, then open it.
Tip You can also create and use folders inside the Music folder to organize your
music files.
6. Copy audio files into this folder.
7. When finished, disconnect the device from the computer.
To open Music
Press HOME, touch the Applications tab, then touch Music. The Music library
screen displays.
