2.5 Adjusting the Phone Settings
You can adjust the phone settings of your device such as your voice mail number, or
enable additional call services from your wireless service provider.
To open the phone settings menu, press HOME > MENU, then touch Settings >
Call settings.
Options Description
Fixed Dialing Number Restrict outgoing calls to a fixed set of numbers. To enable this
feature you must know your SIM card’s PIN2 code. If this feature
is supported, obtain your PIN2 code from your wireless service
provider.
Voicemail Specify another voice mail number aside from the voice mail
number on your SIM card.
Call forwarding Select how you want your device to handle busy, unanswered,
and unreachable calls. You can also set the call forwarding
option for all incoming calls.
Additional call settings Enable or disable caller ID and call waiting services.
Operator selection Scan and select a network operator manually, or set the network
selection to Automatic.
2.6 Turning the Phone Function On and Off
In many countries, you are required by law to turn off the device while on board an
aircraft. A way to turn off the phone function is to switch your device to Airplane
mode. When you enable Airplane mode, all wireless radios on your device are
turned off, including the phone function, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
To enable or disable Airplane mode
1. Press HOME > MENU, then touch Settings > Wireless controls.
