8.5 Getting Directions
Use Maps to get detailed directions to your destination.
Note The driving directions feature is available only in certain geographical regions.
To get directions
While viewing a map in any mode (except in Street View), press and touch
Directions.
Open the keyboard and enter the starting point in the first text box, then
enter your destination in the second text box.
Touch here to
exchange your
starting point and
destination.

Touch here to generate a
route to your destination.
Destination
Touch here to
open the location
source menu.
You can also touch to open the location source menu and select a starting
point and destination address from the following:
My current location. Make sure that you have enabled GPS.
See “To enable Location source” earlier in this chapter.
Contacts. Opens a list of contacts you have saved with a physical or postal
address.
History. Opens a list of places you have searched or visited.
