ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
– Open the housing cover by opening the screw near the cable entries and
lifting the housing cover.
– For the electrical connection, connect the black or brown wire of the mains
supply cable to terminal L and the blue wire (neutral conductor) to terminal
N. According to VDE 100 the electrical connection must be installed as a
permanent connection.
– For safety reasons, make sure that only equal voltages are switched at the
relay contacts (eg not Rel. 1: 12 V and Rel. 2: 230 V). The device is designed
for appliance class II. Please make sure that to your connected devices without
appliance class II have connected protective conductors according to VDE.
– The relay contacts work as potential-free changeover contacts and must be
wired according to the application. Consumers (e.g. fans) must each be
protected with their own fuse according to their specifi cations.
– Connect a humidity sensor TH-1 to the connector strip (sensor 1/indoor
sensor). Insert the second sensor TH-1 into the connector strip (sensor 2 /
outdoor sensor). (see chapter „Humidity Sensors Installation“, page 6)
– After the assembly of the wiring, fi x all cables in the housing with strain reliefs.
– Replace the lid by snapping it in place and tightening the screw in the area
of the cable entries.
HUMIDITY SENSORS ASSEMBLY
– Open the housing cover of the PLS 1000 by opening the screw near the
cable entries and lifting the housing cover.
– In a basement, there may be differences between the air temperature in the
room and the wall temperature of up to 3 ° C, the outer walls usually being
colder than the inner walls. In order to keep the heat transfer between the wall
and the humidity sensor TH-1 as low as possible, the indoor sensor should be
mounted at a distance of approx. 1 - 2 cm from the wall. Preferably, it should
be mounted on an outer wall facing north, at least 0.5 m below ground level.
– The outdoor sensor should preferably be mounted on the sun- or rain-protected
north side of the house.
