6 Upgrading Software

The Huawei telepresence software for the touch panel supports manual upgrade. You can obtain

the upgrade file with the terminal's IP address.

Prerequisites

Before you upgrade, check the following:

l You can access the Huawei telepresence home screen from the touch panel.

l The upgrade file path is available. The file path is http://terminal's IP address/hid/

hid.apk. For example, if the terminal's IP address is 10.10.10.10, the upgrade file path is

http://10.10.10.10/hid/hid.apk.

Procedure

Step 1 From the application screen on the touch panel, launch the built-in web browser. Enter the

upgrade file path in the address box, such as http://10.10.10.10/hid.apk. Tap Go to download

the upgrade file.

Step 2 When the download is complete, tap

to display the Downloads list. Tap the upgrade file

(with the .apk file name extension) and, when prompted to replace the original application, tap

OK.

NOTE

When the touch panel is connected to the terminal, it automatically checks whether a new software version is

available. When a new version is available, the touch panel will prompt you to replace the existing application.

Follow the onscreen instructions to upgrade the software.

Step 3 On the Huawei telepresence installation screen,select the upgrade file that has been downloaded

to the touch panel and tap Intall.

Step 4 After the installation is complete, tap Open.
