6.9.1 Querying the Write Mode of an SSD
Function
This command is used to query the write mode of an SSD.
Format
hioadm writemode -d devicename
Parameters

devicename Name of a device. Example: nvme0

Example
# Query the write mode of the nvme0 SSD.
[root@localhost tool]# hioadm writemode -d nvme0
write mode: cache
6.9.2 Setting the Write Mode of an SSD
Function
This command is used to set the write mode of an SSD.
Format
hioadm writemode -d devicename -m mode
Parameters
Parameter
Description Value
devicename Name of a device. Example: nvme0
mode Write mode.
l 0: write through
l 1: cache
NOTE
The write through mode affects the write performance.
