1.8 Manufacturers Certifications
As a boat manu

acturer Hunter builds their products to

uidelines established under the Federal Boat Safet

Act

f 1971. The act is promul
g
ated b
y
the U.S. Coast Guard
who has authorit
y
to en

orce these laws on boat manu-
facturers that sell products in the United States. Hunter
e
nsures that all of it's products compl

with these laws.
The NMMA, National Marine Manufacturers Association,
provides Hunter with a third part

certification. The
NMMA is an or

anization that represents the marine
industr
y
and assists manufacturers, boat dealers, mari-
nas, repair
y
ards and component suppliers in areas o

islation, environmental concerns, marine business
g
rowth, and state and federal
