Set the automatic water refreshment
A program is a group of stations that share the same watering schedule. By schedule we mean
watering days of the week on which the program will run as well as the number of times the program
will cycle per watering day. If all your stations will be watering in the same days and the same
number of times a day then you can program all your stations in the same program, which we
strongly advice.

Overview

This document provides instructions for the AQUAJA AWS – Hunter model, an eco-logic controller designed for automatic water refreshment. The controller features a user-friendly interface with several buttons for navigation and programming.

Function Description

The AQUAJA AWS – Hunter model is an eco-logic controller that manages automatic water refreshment for multiple stations. It allows users to set specific watering schedules, including start times, runtimes for individual stations, and watering days. The system is designed to automate the process of water changes, which is crucial for maintaining optimal conditions in environments like fish tanks or fish units.

The controller operates by allowing users to define programs, where each program is a group of stations that share the same watering schedule. This includes specifying the days of the week the program will run and the number of times it will cycle per watering day. The system is flexible, allowing all stations to be programmed within the same schedule if they require identical watering days and frequencies.

Usage Features

The controller's interface includes a Mode button, Plus (+) and Minus (-) buttons, Arrow buttons (left and right), and a PRG button.

Navigating the Controller:

  • Mode Button: Used to advance through the programming functions.
  • Arrow Buttons: Used to move between different fields within a function.
  • Plus (+) and Minus (-) Buttons: Used to change the value of the currently flashing field.
  • PRG Button: Used to switch between different programs (Program A, Program B, and Program C).

Setting the Current Date and Time:

  1. Press the Mode button. The year will start flashing.
  2. Use the left and right Arrow buttons to scroll through choices (e.g., month, day).
  3. Use the Plus (+) and Minus (-) buttons to change the current month or day.
  4. Tap the Plus (+) button to switch between a.m./p.m. or 24-hour mode.
  5. After completing the cycle (returning to the year), use the Mode button to go back to the home screen, which displays the current time.

Setting Automatic Water Refreshment Programs: The system allows for programming multiple start times and runtimes for different stations.

Programming Start Times (e.g., for Program A):

  1. Press the Mode button until the arrow points to "start times." The first start time for Program A will be displayed.
  2. It is recommended to set three starting times (e.g., 9:30, 13:00, and 16:30).
  3. Set the first start time (e.g., 9:30 a.m.).
  4. Use the Plus (+) button to set the second start time (e.g., 13:00).
  5. Use the Plus (+) button again to set the third start time (e.g., 16:30).
  6. A fourth potential starting time can be left OFF.
    • Note: Start times may vary based on water hardness and pressure. Users are advised to contact support if they have doubts about optimal settings.

Setting Runtimes for Each Station:

  1. Press the Mode button until the arrow points to "run time."
  2. For Station 1, program the desired runtime (e.g., 2 minutes).
  3. Use the right Arrow button to move to Station 2 and program its runtime (e.g., 2 minutes).
  4. Repeat for Station 3 and any other stations.
    • Recommendation: 2 minutes runtime for a fish tank and 5 minutes for a fish unit.

Setting Watering Days (Automatic Water Change):

  1. Press the Mode button until the arrow points to "watering days."
  2. Program the system to water every day.
  3. To activate a day, press the Plus (+) button. The system will then switch to the next day.
  4. Continue this process until all days of the week are set. Once all days are set, the system will return to Monday (flashing), indicating readiness for the Automatic Watering System.

Maintenance Features

The document does not explicitly detail maintenance features. However, the system's design implies ease of use and programming, which contributes to simplified operation and potentially reduced manual intervention. The recommendation to contact support for optimal settings suggests a focus on ensuring the system runs efficiently and correctly, which can be considered a form of preventative maintenance guidance. The ability to easily adjust settings for water hardness and pressure also indicates a design that allows for adaptation to varying environmental conditions, contributing to the longevity and effectiveness of the system.
