Approach

our boat alone to make the initial inspection. Have

uests and crew standb

a safe distance awa

.
F
rom the dock, visuall
y
inspect
y
our boat
f
or an
y
f
uel leaks
f
rom the deck
f
ills or hull vents and take notice i
f
there
is an
y
odor of fuel.
O
nce aboard, open the cabin door and sni
ff
at the doorwa
y
then inside the cabin
f
or
f
uel odor
.
O
pen the en
g
ine compartment hatch and sniff for fuel odor.
Inspect the en
g
ine compartment and all bil
g
e compartments for fuel leaks and sniff for fuel odor.

there are an

uel leaka
g
e, either visuall
y
or b
y
odor, open doors, hatches, and windows. Evacuate
the boat and inform the dock master. Have an authorized service technician inspect
y
our boat
.
If

uel are present, board

uests and crew
.
Run exhaust blowers for five minutes before startin

ines or

enerator.
