2. Simplified QC Check Procedure
2.1 Purpose of the 2

QC check
The purpose of this 2
nd
inspection is to find out any possible changes or unwanted defects
caused during its shipping and unshipping by improper handling of the product. This 2
nd
QC
procedure aids to check original alignment and settings of each product and to give first-aid
measures. It is generously desired to go through this procedure before sending the instrument
to customers place for installation.

The simplified procedures for the 2

QC check include tests and checking procedures listed
below.
Aging test for the Refractor Body

2.2.1 Aging test for the Refractor Body
Preparations
- Install each Digital Refractor to be checked.
- Check if each Refractor is performing the initialization sequence correctly.
- Check the software version of the Operation Panel whether it is a QCs version or
not.
Æ Only the versions with “QCs” in their version information support QC check functions.
Procedure
- Turn all the Refractors off.
- Network the Refractors by daisy-chaining(refer to the figure in ‘Recommended
System Configuration for QC Check’ section).
- Connect the QCs version of Operation Panel to one of the Refractors on its
Junction Box, or the power supply unit.
- Turn on the power of all the Refractors.
- Follow the key sequence below to enter the aging test mode on the QCs version
of Operation Panel after all the Refractors finishes their initialization sequences.
