Monitor
Press the key programmed as Monitor in receive mode to monitor activities on the current
channel.
When the Auto Reset Mode is inactive, the Monitor key and the Monitor Squelch Mode
preset on the channel are combined to set the Monitor function. Operations are as follows:
1. Short press the Monitor key to enable Monitor 1 and the icon appears on LCD.
The squelch mode toggles between Receive Squelch Mode and Monitor Squelch
Mode.
2. Long press the Monitor key to enable Monitor 2. The squelch mode switches to
Squelch Off. The icon appears on LCD.
Note: In the Auto Reset Mode, a programmable Monitor key press cancels a call.
Select a Zone
Press the Zone Up/Zone Down key to select a desired zone. To select a higher
numbered zone, press the Zone Up key; to select a lower numbered zone, press the
Zone Down key.
Function keys, [▲]/[▼], or [PF1]-[PF4], can be programmed as the Zone Up/Zone Down
key.
Select a Channel
Press the CH Up/CH Down key to select a desired channel. To select a higher numbered
channel, press the Channel Up key; to select a lower numbered channel, press the
Channel Down key. Tx/Rx frequencies on each channel are set by your dealer.
Function keys, [▲]/[▼] or [P1]-[P4], can be programmed as the CH Up/CH Down key.
When Channel is selected in the menu, or the keypad is set as the Channel mode, input a
channel number through the keypad. Press and hold down [P4] or [D] on the keypad, and
the radio jumps to the selected channel.
Note: Function keys, [▲]/[▼], are the CH Up/CH Down key by default.
