Avoid contact during prolonged use
Do not touch the metal surface of the radio while it is in use.
Do not mount the radio at a location such that the chassis can come in contact your skin.
High temperatures may burn you skin.
Safety and General Information
The following general safety precautions as would normally apply, should be observed
during all phases of operation, service and repair of this equipment.
This equipment should be serviced by qualified technicians only.
Do not modify the radio for any reason.
Use only HYT supplied or approved antenna.
Gain of antenna must not exceed 3dBi for VHF or 5.5dBi for UHF.
Mobile antenna Installation: Install the mobile antenna at least 82cm (32 inches) away
from your body, in accordance with the requirements of the antenna
manufacturer/supplier.
Transmit only when people inside and outside the vehicle are at least the minimum
distance away from a properly installed, externally mounted antenna.
Mobile antenna substitution: Don’t substitute HYT supplied or approved antenna. You
may be exposing person(s) to excessive radio frequency radiation. Please contact
your dealer or the manufacturer for further instructions.
Please make sure no stress on the antenna joint during transportation or installation.
To avoid electromagnetic interference and/or compatibility conflicts, turn off your radio
