4. Release the PTT key to terminate the public address. The radio returns to the Public
Address mode and PA appears on LCD.
Notes:
To use this function, it is necessary to install the PA optional accessory and external
speaker provided by the manufacturer or dealer.
Home Channel
Press the key programmed as Home Channel, and the radio will go to the
pre-programmed home channel. Press it again to return to the previous channel.
When dual home channels are set, press the Home Channel key to toggle between the
current channel and home channels. Press it to jump to Home Channel 1, press it again to
jump to Home Channel 2, and press it for the third time to return to the original channel.
Compandor
Press the key programmed as Compandor to toggle the function on/off. When the
function is enabled, the icon appears on LCD.
Scrambler
Press the key programmed as Scrambler to toggle the function on/off. When the function
is enabled, the icon appears on LCD.
Note: The Emphasis/De-emphasis functions are disabled when the Scrambler function is
activated and enabled when the Scrambler function is deactivated.
Whisper
If the function is enabled, the receiving party can receive at a normal volume level even if
the speaker speaks with a low voice.
Ways to enable the Whisper function:
1. Press the key programmed as Whisper to toggle the function on/off. WHISP.On or
WHISP.Off appears on LCD.
2. Select through the menu.
