Receive 5-Tone Signaling
1. Decode
1) Noise Level
Check the received signal strength. If it is lower than the preset value, the signal is
deemed as invalid.
2) CTCSS/CDCSS
If no CTCSS/CDCSS is set on the channel, the CTCSS/CDCSS match is defaulted.
If CTCSS/CDCSS is set on the channel, the received CTCSS/CDCSS needs to be
processed.
If CTCSS/CDCSS is once matched, the CTCSS/CDCSS match is defaulted.
3) Signaling
Compare the received 5-Tone with the preset code in Decode Definition according to the
decoding rules. The signaling is decoded successfully if it is in accordance with the rules.
2. Status
The radio may be in different statuses when a call is received. The radio may respond to a
received call or regard the call as invalid in certain conditions.
3. Response
After successful decoding, the radio gives different prompt in different radio status.
1) Auto ACK
After successful decoding, the receiving radio will send back a programmable
acknowledgement to the transmitting radio.
2) Call Forward
While in the Call Forward mode, the radio forwards the call after decoding.
3) Alert
Sound different alerts according to the radio status during decoding. There are two types,
namely individual call alert and group call alert.
If no operation is made on the radio within a period, a missed call alert sounds.
4) LED
