Scan Start
Sound a programmable alert tone when the scanning starts. The icon appears on
LCD and LED flashes green during scanning. The corresponding channel number
appears on LCD when a signal satisfying pause requirements is detected on the channel
or the PTT/Call key is pressed to transmit.
Ways to start the scan:
1. Key Press
Press the Scan key on a channel set with a scan list.
2. Auto Entry
If a channel is set with a scan list and the Auto Scan function is enabled, switching the
channel will start the scan automatically.
3. Start the scan through the menu selection
Scan Exit
Sound a programmable alert tone when exiting from the scan. The icon disappears.
Ways to exit from the scan:
1. Press the Scan key during scanning.
2. Auto Exit
The radio will exit from the scan if it switches to a channel without a scan list or with the
Auto Scan function disabled.
3. Exit from the scan through the menu selection.
4. Receive the Stun type code.
5. Press the Emergency key.
6. Power off.
Scan Pause
The scan will pause when a signal satisfying pause requirements of a channel is detected
or the PTT, Call or Monitor key is pressed.
