About this document
This document is intended for use by systems administrators and technicians
experienced with networking, Fibre Channel, and storage area network (SAN)
technologies. It describes how to install, service, and use the IBM System Storage
®
SAN48B-5 (machine type-model 2498-F48) Switch. Throughout this document, the
product is referred to as the SAN48B-5, or simply the switch.
This document has been created to include information specific to SAN48B-5
switches running on Fabric OS version 7.0 or later. This document does not
support all Fabric OS versions. It is specific to Fabric OS v7.0 or later.
