4. Edit the ifcfg- le.
Press 'i' on the keyboard to enter the insert mode. You can see Insert at bottom of the screen.
5. Modify the IP address and netmask.
a. Based on the Installation worksheet information, ensure that you add or modify the IPADDR and
NETMASK lines with the correct information.
b. Use the keyboard arrows to navigate the le and add the necessary information.
Example:
IPADDR=IP ADDRESS
NETMASK=NETMASK
It does not matter where you add these lines in this le.
6. Save the le.
7. Press escape on the keyboard and type :wq!.
Example:
8. Bring down and up the interface.
# ifdown interface name
# ifup interface name
Example:
ifdown mgmt down
ifup mgmt up
9. Check that the IP address was set.
