Importing and Building the Data Set:
1. Under the title “Data Set Status,” select any valid data set (not the active one). The data from the
input file will be placed into this data set.
2. Select Options from the action bar.
3. Select Import source file from the pull-down.
The extended pull-down panel displays.
4. Select Channel attached tape
5. Select OK.
The Import from Tape panel displays.
6. Type in the address of the tape drive
7. Type in the file number of the input file.
8. Select Ignore unrecognized card statements. If the card image input file contains non-IOCP
statements (for example, for MVSCP).
9. If the file to be imported contains an LPAR configuration select Importing a source file for logically
partitioned mode.
10. Mount the tape containing the input file on the correct drive.
11. Select OK.
The Confirm the Action panel displays.
(This panel only displays the first time a build is requested.)
12. Select Ok
A Configuration Task in Progress panel displays while the IOCP program is run. The IOCP program may
take up to 12 minutes to complete. When complete, a message displays confirming the function is
complete.
13. Select OK.
Logging Off the CPC Console: From the Support Element workplace:
1. Open Console Actions from the Views area.
2. Select Log Off from the Console Actions Work Area.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
You will not be allowed to log off if there are any active tasks.
Active tasks will be displayed when you open the Active Tasks View and may also appear in the Window
List (Ctrl + Esc from the keyboard).
All active tasks must be ended before you are allowed to log off.
