2. If FLT load operation results in lood checks, perform the follOW"ing operation to checl- out the FLT
load duto poth from the selector channel B register to the SOR on on FLT lood from tape:

b. R.wind the tape, put the TAU bock on-line, ond perform o normal FLT load.
Set the selector channel roller ta the 8 register (position I) and visually compare the biB
appearing in tt.e 8 register with those appearing in SOR. If any bit p01ition is not
functioning, it it apparent in the indicaton, An FLT lood check also occurs but the
loading of data continue1 until the end of the tape record i1 reached (the full record
written in step 1),
d. The procedure can be repeated to check for correct zero states by writing all zerOI
{except potity bit) on tape and repeating steps 2 and 3.
The parity bit pa1itiGn1 con be checked far their zero state by writing all zerOI in bit
potitions P and 0-6 and one in positin" 1 ond repeating steps 2 and 3.
