Installation of clear plate
When the front bezel is replaced to with a new one, clear
plate set (FRU no. 46L4904) must also be installted. The
procedure is as follows:
1. There are several clear plates in the clear plate set.
Confirm the model name, such as “A30” first, and pick
the plate suitable for the computer you are servicing.
Check the shape of each plate; there are plates for the
front bezel and the LCD rear cover, as follows:
v Clear plate A30, for the front bezel
A30
v Clear plate A30p without Bluetooth feature, for the
front bezel
A30p
v Clear plate A30 with Bluetooth feature, for the front
bezel
TM
A30p
v Clear plate, rear cover, without Bluetooth feature
v Clear plate, rear cover, with Bluetooth feature
TM
2. If the computer has the Bluetooth feature, you also
need to install Bluetooth button a, which is contained
in the FRU. It is attached to the front bezel side only.
3. Strip off the protection sheet of the insulation tape 1
of the clear plate, and then stick the plate on the front
bezel and the rear cover.
