Locations for UltraBase X3
Some models are shipped with a ThinkPad X3 UltraBase.
For those models, refer the following locations.
Front view
1 UltraBase X3 release lever
2 Docking connector
3 Ultrabay Plus
Note: The Ultrabay Plus accepts several storage
devices, such as a DVD drive or a CD-ROM drive,
and also accepts an Ultrabay Plus carrier.
4 Ultrabay status indicator
Green: An Ultrabay device is attached to
the computer and in use.
Turn off: An Ultrabay device is ready to be
attached or detached.
5 Ultrabay device eject lever
6 UltraBase eject button
7 UltraBase status indicator
Green: An UltraBase X3 is attached to
the computer and in use.
Turn off: An UltraBase X3 is ready to be
attached or detached.
