is
preferable
to
use headphones to
prevent "howling"
caused
by
feedback
from the speaker to
the microphone.

CW
reception,
select
the
CW

NARROW mode.
Audio
output
from the speaker is
muted when
the
CW
NARROW
mode is
selected
with no
optional narrow
filter installed.
Other switches
and
controls are set the
same
as
for SSB reception.

the notch filter eliminates
specific inter-
ference
at
discrete
frequencies within the passband
of the
receiver.
