      If the sensitivity of your Icom Transceiver is low, and only strong signals are audible, the [SQUELCH] may be rotated too far clockwise. Try rotating it counterclockwise to a suitable position. Also, the antenna feedline or the antenna connector solder may have poor contact or be short-circuited. Inspect and, if necessary, replace the feedline or resolder the antenna connector.
