Installation and Servicing
SECTION 2 - INSTALLATION
After initial power-up of the HIU the controls will initialise and display information about unit type and power output.
The rst screen will show the HIU type as ‘II’ (Indirect/Indirect), or ‘dl’ (direct/Indirect). The second screen will
show the DHW output (30kW, 40kW, 50kW, 60kW or 70kW). The HIU controls can now be used to electronically
open / close the primary control valves to allow for commissioning and balancing of the primary network and the
commissioning engineer can input all the relevant parameters to provide efcient operation of the HIU and the Heat
Network.

Electrical Installation
1. Checks to ensure electrical safety should be carried out by
a competent person.
2. ALWAYS carry out the preliminary electrical system checks,
i.e. earth continuity, polarity, resistance to earth and short
circuit, using a suitable test meter.

COMMISSIONING CHECKLIST IS FULLY COMPLETED
AND LEFT WITH THE APPLIANCE
