If, however, it is not received again in sufficient strength within the delay time,
the outputs pass into the safe state�

5.2.7 Binary mode
In the binary mode the outputs OUT1���OUT4 indicate the level as a 8-4-2-1 binary
code� Thus a quasi-analogue evaluation with a resolution of 15 steps (about
6�6 %) of the active zone (A) is available�
Below the probe and in the zone I2 the word 0000 is output (step 0)� In the active
zone (A) the steps 1���15 are passed through and the outputs switch to the shown
states� If the active zone is exceeded (zone I1), the value of step 15 (word 1111)
continues to be output�
