cornerofthetransmitter.

The‘RATE’switch(locatedonthetopright
‘shoulder’oftheMP5Htransmitter)isusedtothe
togglebetweenthe‘High’(HI)and‘Low’(LO)controlrates,alsoknownas‘DualRates’,
availablefortheaileronandelevatorcontrols/channels.Whentheswitchisinthe‘HI’
position(towardthebackofthetransmitter)thecontrolsareallowedtoreach
their
maximum(high)rates/values.Thismodeistypicallypreferredbyexperiencedpilots
interestedmostinmaximumcontrolauthority.
Whentheswitchisinthe‘LO’position(towardthefrontofthetransmitter)themaximum
controlrates/valueswillbereducedfortheaileronandelevatorchannels.Thisistypically
preferredby
(andrecommendedbestfor)first‐time,low‐timeandotherpilotsinterestedina
reducedamountofcontrolauthoritythatallowsforevensmootherandmoreeasily
controlledhovering/flying.Also,theCollisionAvoidanceTechnology(C.A.T.)canhelpto
betteravoidpotentialcollisionswithobstacles/objectswhenflyinginthe‘lowrate’
mode.
