Toconfirmpropercontrolandoperationofthemotors,placethehelicopterinanopenarea
freeofpeopleandobstructions.Andwheneverythingisclearoftherotorblades,proceed
withthefollowingsteps:
Raisetheleft‐hand/throttlestickslowlyandjusthighenoughsothatbothsetsofrotor
bladesbegintospinslowly.Then,notethedirectionthateachsetofrotorblades
spins.Thelowersetofrotorbladesshouldspinclockwiseandtheuppersetofrotor
bladesshouldspincounterclockwise
(whenviewedfromabove).Ifeithersetofrotor
bladesarespinninginthewrongdirection,disconnecttheLiPoflightbatteryfromthe
controlunitthensimplyreversethecorrespondingmotor’sconnector/plugpolarityat
theconnectiononthecontrolunit.Theproperpolarityforeachmotorconnectionis
markedon
thecase/housingofthecontrolunitandit’salsohelpfultonotethe
following:
The‘front’motorspinsthelowersetofrotorbladesandshouldbeconnected
tothelowermotorconnection/setofpinsonthecontrolunit.
The‘rear’motorspinstheuppersetofrotorbladesandshouldbeconnectedto
theuppermotorconnection/setofpinsonthecontrolunit.
Afterconfirmingthatbothsetsofrotorbladesarespinninginthecorrectdirectionsit’s
importanttoconfirmthattherotorbladesrespondproperlytorudder(yaw)control
inputs.Withbothsetsofrotorbladesspinningslowlymovetheleft‐hand/rudderstick
allthewaytotheright.Thisshouldcause
thespeed/RPMsoftheupperrotorbladesto
increase,andthespeed/RPMsofthelowerrotorbladestodecrease.Next,movethe
left‐hand/rudderstickallthewaytotheleft.Thisshouldcausethespeed/RPMsofthe
lowerrotorbladestoincreaseandthespeed/RPMsoftheuppermain
rotorbladesto
decrease.Ifbothsetsofrotorbladesarenotrespondingproperlytorudder(yaw)
controlinputs,disconnecttheLiPoflightbatteryfromthecontrolunitthensimply
switchthepositionsofmotorconnectors/plugsattheconnectionsonthecontrolunit.
Notethattheproperconnectionsforeachmotor
arelistedabove.
