IndoorFlyingAreas
Whenflyingindoors
you’llwanttoselect anopenareafreeofpeopleandobstructions.We
suggestanareawithatleast15feetby15feetoffloorspaceandnolessthan8footceilings
whenmakingyourfirstfewflights.
Afteryou’veproperlytrimmedthehelicopterandbecomefamiliarwith
itshandlingand
capabilities,aswellasthecapabilitiesofC.A.T.,youmaybeabletoflyinothersmallerand
lessopenareastoo.AndwhileC.A.T.canhelptoautomaticallyavoidcollisionswithavariety
ofobstacles/objectsincludingwalls,furnitureandmore(pleaseseethe‘CollisionAvoidance
Technology’
sectionofthismanualformoreinformation)it’salwaysmorefuntoflyindoors
inspacesthatarelargerand/ormoreopenwhenpossible.
OutdoorFlyingAreas/Conditions
Whenflyingoutdoorsit’sbesttoflytheEvolve300CXatalocalpark,schoolyardorother
areathat’slargeenoughand
freeofpeopleandobstructions.Wealsosuggestflyingover
grassasit’samuchmore‘forgiving’surfacethatcauseslessdamageintheunfortunateevent
ofacrash.DoNOTflyinparkinglots,crowdedneighborhoodareasorinareasthatarenot
freeofpeopleandobstructions.
Also,
it’stypicallybesttoflyondaysthatarecalm/withnowind,especiallywhenlearning
howtofly.Westronglysuggestflyingonlyincalmconditionsuntilyou’refamiliarwiththe
controlsandhandlingofthemodel.Evenverylightwindscanmakeitmuchmoredifficultto
learnto
fly,andinsomecasescanevencarrythemodelbeyondyourlineofsight.
