performanceofC.A.T.withoutflying.Thisisnormalandtobeexpectedasaresultofthehigh
performanceandsensitivenatureofthetechnology.
GainTrimmerPot
TheC.A.T.moduleisequippedwitha‘GAIN’trimmerpotthatcanbeusedtoadjust/fine‐tune
theoverall‘sensitivity’andresponseofthetechnology.Thispotissetatthefactoryto
providegoodperformanceoverallanddoesnottypicallyneedtobeadjusted.However,you
canremovetheC.A.T.
modulefromthebodyormakeasmallholeinthewindshieldtoaccess
thepotanduseasmall‘straight’bladescrewdriver(preferablywithaplastictip)toadjustit.
Ifyoueverfindthatthehelicopter‘twitches’whenthetechnologyisactivated(turned
on)andtherearenoobstacles/objectswithinthedetectionrangeofthesensors,you
shoulddecreasethegainuntilthehelicopternolongertwitches:
Turnthegaintrimmerpotcounterclockwise(‐)todecreasethegain.
Insomecasesyoucanincreasethesensitivity/responseofthetechnologyby
increasingthegain:
Turnthegaintrimmerpotclockwise(+)toincreasethegain.
However,ifyoufindthatthehelicopter‘twitches’inanydirectionafterincreasingthe
gainyoushoulddecreaseitslightlyandcheckagain.
C.A.T.HintsandTips
Itistypicallybesttousethe‘Low(LO)’controlratesettingonthetransmitter
and/orminimalcontrolinputstokeepthehelicopterfromtravelingtooquickly
towardobstacles/objectswheneverpossible.
Ifyoueverfeelthehelicopterisonapath/atrisktocollidewithanobstacle/object
youcantrythefollowingtohelpensureC.A.T.hasthebestpossibleopportunityto
automaticallyavoidthecollision:
o Applycontrolinputstoslowthehelicopterdown(evenifyouarenotableto
stopitcompletelyjustslowingitdownwillgiveC.A.T.thebestchanceto
detecttheobstacle/objectandhopefullyavoidthecollision).
