It’simportanttocontinuemakingtrimadjustmentsasneededuntilthehelicoptercan
hoveratanaltitudeofapproximately24–30inches(orhigher)
withverylittledrifting
ordirectionalcontrolinput.Andwhileit’snotpossibletoeliminatealldrifting
completelyusingthetrimsitispossibletogetveryclose.Also,ifthisisyourfirst
helicoptermodelwestronglyrecommendtoenlistthehelpofanexperiencedpilotto
trimthe
modelforyoubeforemakingyourfirstflight.
Whenthehelicopterisproperlytrimmed,maintainastablehoverandpracticeusing
therudder,elevatorandaileroncontrolstogetafeelforhowthehelicopterresponds
tovariouscontrolinputs.Remembertokeepthecontrolinputsasminimalas
possible
topreventover‐controllingthehelicopter.
Continuetopracticeuntilyou’recomfortablehoveringthehelicopteratapproximately
24–30inchesofaltitude.Thenyoucantransitiontohoveringthehelicopterathigher
altitudesofapproximately3–4feet(0.9–1.2meters).
Ifatanytimeduringflightyoufeellike
thehelicopterisdriftingoutof/beyondyour
control,simplyreleaseallofthecontrolsexceptforthrottle.Thethrottlewillbe
neededtomaintainaltitude,butduetotheinherentstabilityofthecoaxial,counter‐
rotatingbladedesign,releasingalloftheothercontrolswillallowthehelicopterto
return
toastablehoveronitsown.

HOWMAJORORMINOR,YOUMUSTLOWERTHETHROTTLESTICKANDTHE

POSSIBLETOPREVENTDAMAGETOTHE
ESCSOFTHECONTROLUNIT.
Ifyoudonotlowerthethrottlestickandtrimtotheirlowestpossiblepositionsin
theeventofacrash/rotorbladestrikeitcanresultindamagetotheESCsofthe
controlunitwhichmayrequirereplacementofthecontrolunit.
